Emily Harrington, here! Mom, wife, retired communications liaison and host of the HyperLocal(s) Podcast. Each week I bring you a pod where townies and transplants share their tales of tears and triumphs, losses and wins.

In an effort to provide a way for those that don’t want a public podcast, but still have a story to tell friends and family, I’ve created:

                In Retrospect
         A HyperLocal(s) Project

     Here's how it works:

The client pays a $300 fee. The fee gets you:

  • A 20-minute pre-interview where the client provides back story, basic details and any prompts that they want asked, meaning what do they want shared in the interview? What do they deem important? This can be a friend, family member or business partner of the guest I'll be interviewing. This pre-interview will give the framework for me, the interviewer, to ask pertinent questions of the guest.

  • Sample prompts and questions to help both the client and interviewed understand the direction of the conversation.

  • An hour-long audio interview either with the client or with a client’s friend or family member. To ensure the best sound quality, reduce technical difficulties and create a real connection with the guest, I will only be doing face-to-face interviews in Champaign-Urbana and surrounding areas.

  • The interview will be edited and packaged on a giftable flash drive for the client to keep forever and share as they wish. Additional giftable flash drives can be purchased for $25 each.

This personal podcast will ultimately create a memorable conversation filled with fresh and familiar information. Yourself, a dear friend, a business founder an aging relative, even a child, can be captured in this moment-in-time snapshot. This conversation will not be a public-facing podcast, rather, a conversation that will be saved and can be shared among the guest, the client(s) and anyone else of the participants choosing. My goal is to provide a safe space for the guest, a space where they feel comfortable to share past, present and future thoughts, life lessons and advice, stories and memories, that can live on, in their voice, forever. The client should feel I have captured the essence of the guest while they learn new things as well as relive tales they hope to never forget.

Sincerely,

     Emily Harrington
